I didn't make it to the DFW basset hound shuffle today, but I did happen to glance over at the news just in time to see them on it, and quickly got it DVR'd. Enjoy

I bet that was a blast. I miss going to the Illinois Waddle every year. It was too stressful for Lucy so we had to stop.

When we got her from the rescue – she wasn’t even up on the website yet and we drove downstate to pick her up from the home of the people that run the rescue and hold the “Waddle” – the two years that we went after we got her she changed into a different dog and would hide under anything she could fit and look scared to death and howl by the gate if one of us had to run to the car for something. It was as if she was afraid we would leave her there. She’s never in 11 years acted like that at any other place and we take them everywhere we can with us.

Anywho – I really miss not being able to go – it was always a great weekend of a lot of laughs. The last waddle we went to there were over 1,000 Bassets waddling down the street.
