Default Bogie's skin issues! Great Improvement!!!!

I'm so happy to be able to say that Bogie's skin issues are so much better. He only had one new tiny scabby spot this week and the others have totally healed up. He is off antibiotics, and we are still doing the medicated baths every week. He is now eating three fourths of "Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream with Smoked Salmon" and one fourth of his regular food. We have done the food change over very, very slowly. In two more days he will be totally on the "Taste of the Wild". His coat is so shiny, shedding seems less (but I know winter is on its way and may be a factor), and even his eyes even seem to be getting better. They have always been gunky and red at times. I'm sure time will tell if it was the food or if other factors were involved. But for now we are delighted, and we have a bouncy and itch free Basset. BTW he loves the new food.

For all the great help and suggestions.

Charlotte really loves the taste of the wild food too. In fact she is barking in the kitchen for some right now haha.

I'm glad your boy is doing better. Many years ago Noonie had some skin issues and was pretty miserable. The vet recommended bathing him in Selsun Blue and it actually took care of the problem. I still keep some on hand as Buddy's skin can get a little dry and itchy sometimes.

Yea and congratulations - I'm so happy he's feeling better. Nothing worse than a sick baby at home.

FWIW if dogie iw still getting some of his old food it is unlikely the allergy sypmtoms are food related bu environmental that does not meant you should switch bact to the old food if the TOW is working for you in other areas.

Great to hear. The quality of the ingredients in you food is very important. Its like sirlion to burger king. Taste of the wilderness is a great food.
