Default What long ears you have

I noticed today that Patito is wearing down the tips of his ears, meaning there is no hair there anymore and on one he has a bit of a sore. We have been walking a lot and I think it is from that but I am not sure what to do. Have any of you had this happen and what did you do?

Thanks!!

They will learn as they grow and get older to stop stepping on, or dragging their ears, unless it actually doesn't bother them. You could get some of that "liquid band-aid" stuff and put a bit on the tip of his ears. That should help protect the sores!

Poor Patito!
Worm steps on his ears by accident when he is sniffing & nose is to the ground. i suppose i could use a collar to remind him to hold his head up more and to not have his nose to the ground so much... but then he might miss sniffing everything. no sores or hair loss on Worm's ears, tho. i'm sure others here will have better input.

Ouch – Have you ever tried a snood? Here’s a couple links that have a lot of different kinds -

Good luck with your baby

Thanks Guys! I will look for liquid bandaid as soon as I can get back into the city (Peace Corps has us on site lockdown right now because of the rain/mudslides) I am going to attempt to make a snood for him hahaha I can only imagine what people are going to say as it is now we are already the talk of the town strangers come up to us and say hi Patito! I also had a girl come up to me today on my walk to ask me if the jacket I was wearing was what I bought when I went to the city two weeks ago (I had never seen her before either!)

Worm, I use a leash with him now as he has taken to running through corn fields after chickens and he still trips on his ears haha

Also don´t feel too bad for Tito just got some packages from home with some new toys and treats for him he LOVES those greenies and his new no stuff stuffie!!

Barney has some black areas on the bottom of his ears especially from when he would try to run. He is getting better but if he is has his nose to the ground he still trips very cute.

Must say that was never the case with Toughy if anything he had to way of driving off any human that was not a preteen boy. He would general draw a crowd with his making humans jump routine., Ques other did not find it so amusing
