Default Basset Rampage

Today we had to leave a few more times than normal. They have the run of the master bedroom with a doggie door and the back yard. They are usually very good until a day like today happens and we leave more often than normal. Today they took it out on the futon that they sleep on.

we thought it was a white stuffed animal in the first pic-- looks like it's just the stuffing... well, we r sure Worm would do the same if given the opportunity...

Not sure about a new one. When Maggie was a baby we bought her a princess child couch that opened into a bed. One day we came home to find she had eaten the foam in it. She loves foam rubber and will chew holes in carpeting to get to it. We had a temperpedic pad on our bed and one day while we were turning the mattress she was eating holes in the pad. So maybe a wood or steel bench would work better for next time.

I'm sorry...but I think what had happened was: the cat went nuts. Oh you don't have a cat? Well it was a stray that got in, you're very lucky that the bassets were there to take control of the situation. Treats for the bassets!!!!!

Well, Bernie LOOOOOVES stuffing too and has destroyed 3 dog beds. The last of which was made by Kong and was "supposed" to be "chew resistant". Haha, yeah, okay. whatever! So now, i just go to the thrift store and buy a comforter for about $5 and fold it up in his crate. Works great! and seems to be pretty dang comfy! If he tears it up then it's only $5 and I'll go get another one.
