Hello fellow basseteers!
We have taken the plunge!! Watty is getting a permanent brother! We are picking him up Saturday from his foster mom's home. You can see our new fella here: http://bellyrubs.org/index.php?optio...helterid=TN568 I don't think he's full basset but we adore him all the same! He's a little thing, too -- less than 30 pounds at 8 months. Here's where we need help -- this guy needs a name! We're not keeping Snoopy, and we'd like to keep with the literary theme (something to do with Sherlock Holmes would be great). We don't like Sherlock, or Holmes. We've considered Doyle (as in, Arthur Conan Doyle), and Arty (short for Moriarty, Holmes' archenemy). I know y'all are creative and inventive -- let's hear them all! |

As a fellow memphian, we would be remiss if we did not suggest you use Baskerville.
Former Memphis State Tiger basketball great (1985 Final Four) and from the book Hound of the Baskervilles, which is where his mother got his name. Food for thought. ~E |

Esther -- he is SO sweet, you'll have to meet him! We considered Baskerville, too, but not really sure how to make that into a day-to-day name... Basker? Basky? It's a bit long and cumbersome as the full name. I didn't realize naming a pup would be this complicated!
