Every morning when we go for our sniff, sit, lay down walk, I wonder about the gentleman who wanted to train his basset to run with him. Have I missed an update? If he has accomplished this, I need to get some pointers. I'm too old to jog but every now and then would like to go in a straight line, especially when it's raining.

The only way I have been able to accomplish any resemblance of a fast walk or jog is to take the exact same route every time...the smells become more familiar so she doesn't have to stop as often.

What in it for the dog to do that. until you can answer that question satifactorily to the dog they will continue to seek out the more interesting distractions. |
