Just wanted to introduce ourselves
I am Lori and my bass hounds's name is Max or Maxwell when he is in one of his selective hearing modes !! We have had him since March of this year. I really tried to read up on him and felt he would fit in wonderful with our family of my then 17yr old and 10 and 9 yr olds. So far so good. Even loves when grandma comes to babysit when I have to go away to doc appts. Would love to hear more about the male side of these guys and the tricks and trades. Over all I feel he is a very good dog even loves to play with our 3 Chinchillas we have in a cage (loves to bug them if they are sleeping) But would love to meet everyone and love to learn from all of you. Thanks for the forum Thanks Max and Lori

Ahhhh, the boys, yes, well, most of the time boys are little boys for a long time.Where girls become Queens, boys are the Jokers of the castle. Their brains just don't mature as fast as the girls .Very much like humans. They are kind of dopy and dippy for a while, but it is an endearing quality. On the other hand this last litter of puppies(see conformation and breeding)the boys are very smart and not what I consider typical for this breed. But then I am a bit biased.

Welcome!
My boy is almost 7 months and he too has selective hearing. He's inching toward adolescence and it shows. He's lucky that he's so stinking adorable.

Welcome! I have a 15 month old boy named Boomer. He's an ornery little twerp, but I wouldn't give him up for anything.
