Rosco says you should flirt with as many girls as possible and sniff lots of butts.

Thanks, basset palz!!

i JUST turned 1 year old half an hour ago. hmmm.... feeling a little taller and stronger. yes! well, but my bday party is next weekend.

it is nutso around here. like, party central. we had to get a membership at COSTCO (like Price Club.... one of those warehouse stores, know what i'm talkin' about?) so we could buy things wholesale this weekend.

Pais, thx for remembering. and Rosco, thx for the wise words.

Pais, i saw in ur other reply that you are an "expert" at hotels. hmmm... maybe we can stay in one together one day, what'd'ya think??? and whatta lucky gal, to go traveling all the time w/ur peeples. my grandpops and grandmom went to Turkey & Greece coupla years ago. it was beeyouteeful, esp Greece, they said. hope your peeps have a good trip!

guess what i found out??? something WONderful this weekend. my person was in San Francisco and kept seeing dogs coming out of department stores. and was inside one when a long-haired dachshund walked by. she asked the guy if dogs are allowed inside, and he said, yep, but this was the ONLY one in the country that allows dogs. That is because there is a city ordinance that says that all establishments that don't serve food MUST ALLOW dogs inside.... wheeeeee!!!! where have i been????

i love it. now i think i can go almost everywhere w/my human. hmmm. except the food stores. actually, that's a little bit of a bummer. i guess we are dirty germbags. but food IS my favorite thing. what's life without food? anyway... isn't that kewl that i can go inside places in San Francisco, and not just the pet stores?????

Yea Wormmie : Hope you are having a good birthday ---- you must be going to have a BIG party -- send me some pictures!!!!!!!
Ya we can stay in a hotel sometime but I'd rather just stay home and lounge. It is very hot here lately and I try to keep my belly in the breeze.
Mom keeps threatening me with a swim but NOPE not this girl!! I like four on the floor.
I too hope Mom and sister have a good trip this time..... last time wasn't very good. They went to Japan in March and were caught up in the earthquake thing -- Got there Wed. night, earthquake Fri. afternoon and got home Monday night. Don't know much about earthquakes but Dad and I were worried.....they came home and slept for a week and I didn't even get a present .....but I got them home so thats what counts. I want turkey and greece too.....but I have to stay with Dad and Cairo the cat....Cairo is named after Cairo the place which Mom and Ash were going to until the riots -- so thats how come they went to Japan .....they are not so lucky those two i there travelling.
Well gotta go put my belly in the breeze!!!!! Its HOT.

Happy, happy, birthday, Worm, mah man! Hope you have an awesome party this weekend and get to meets lots of girls!

My momma and dad have a membership to Costco. All I know is, they bring home these really BIG blocks of cheese, so I hope they keep their membership.

San Francisco sounds really kewl! Tell your momma to take you shopping to all those dog friendly stores and tell us about it!

Thanks ya basset pals!

this is how it went: (ok, warning, not for the faint of heart)
i started off the morning puking my breakfast up, a la Esthah. yep, whole kibbles and everything. my person says she remembers the thread saying that some bassets get to eat the food they throw up but she looked at it and just couldn't get herself to do it. it was too gross looking.

hmpf. so i was hungry the rest of the day. but later, my person made it up to me by giving me halfa steak for dinner. yummy. that has NEVER happened before. say, can we do this birfday thing every month, i wonder?

the doggie park people were nice that night and sang 'happy birfday' to me. there was a brand new picnic table that Uncle Ted MADE..! i jumped right up onto it and sat on the tabletop. i got in trubble for that. but hey! that's where all the treats are.

say, Cousin Woofus, do ya think if i pee on what i want, my person will hafta buy it for me????? i was thinkin' that.

Paislee- that is crrraazzy about your humanz trips. first no Cairo (we also had a friend who had to cancel that trip then, too... he kept listening closely to the radio on our ski trip, trying to see if he would be able to go on his trip....) Japan earthquake....wowsahs. did they feel it?

i was actually campin' that morning after by the beach and cliffs, and we were told to watch out for the tsunamis.... we debated whether or not to go camping still, but decided to chance it. it was fine. (well, i'm still here now, aren't i? that'd be sad if i didn't make it to my 1st bday....)
