Hello, Everyone! I have an almost 13 week old basset named Hank (after good o' Hank Williams. Hopefully there are some fans of that man out there on this forum..) He's an extrememly playful and frisky pup! He has been determined to have glaucoma already, but that doesn't seem to affect him too much. He still gallops and trots and makes a mess just like any other pup.
I've been reading around this forum for a few days thus far and I seem to feel pretty darned comfortable here already. Nice to meet all y'all out there! I put up a picture from when he was 7 weeks old and have recent pictures uploaded as well |

Welcome aboard,
And Might I say welcome to Hank, what a very handsome guy you are..... This site is wonderful and very informative. I have an almost 8 month Old male named after one of my favorite personalities Woodrow Hayes (Woody Hayes)...... We are all big time Basset braggers and kind hearted people....Keep the stories and pictures coming..look forwarded to watching Hank grow.. Kristi (Woody's mom)

Hank is a good looking pup. We listen to Hank Williams often. Maggie was named for a character in a John Wayne movie, Yogi for Yogi Bera, and Daisy was our foster that we adopted and didn't change her name.

Welcome aboard! Hank is adorable! I listen to basically just country music, so I really like the name
Flash was named by my husband-after Flash from dukes of hazard (real original, I know!) Btw, he knew he was naming our puppy that before picking out the puppy even!So what does Glaucoma in a puppy that young mean? Is he going to still see ok? I have no clue about it (although my boss has had glaucoma since he was a toddler, that is my only experience with it.) |

Welcome to the forum! We all enjoy puppy pictures and can and will commiserate with you about your pups troubles and mischiefs. We've all been there, loved that. And Hank is a very good looking pup. I hope the glaucoma is treatable. I have absolutely no experience with glaucoma in either dogs or people. Good luck!
