Default Worry lines

Our new puppy has an extra line across his forehead that only comes out when he is really curious. Here he is looking at a metal ruler that he can't figure out how to pick up off the floor after trying for several minutes.

lol. Gracie has started to develop that same thing. Although her's is not so big yet. It's very cute. And it's funny that you posted that. My husband and I were just talking about Gracie's today.

Virga has a little baby one. Since she's so small I reckon. It's so funny when they look down like that and all their skin falls forward. I love how wrinkly they are. It's the best.

One of the standard features of a basset is when he/she looks down the winkles should fall over the brow ,if it doesn't it is said to have a dry head,a fault. You guys are good to go.LOL

Your Basset is gorgeous and his nails look long (in the pic below)... do you ever clip them?

I wished I'd taken the advice of my breeder friend when we got our two pups, with very neat little nails... he told me to snip off tiny bits of their nails every week so that they got used to having it done then when they're adults they'll not take any notice if I trim their nails and as we walk along the beach, fields or lane near our house, we barely go on roads and pavements so their nails need to be trimmed as they don't get worn down naturally on grass or sand like they would on pavements!

What do others do on here? We have clippers and a Dremel and they're not keen on either really, but the Dremel is the lesser of the two evils for them... with a few little treats!

His nails were done a week ago. They, like the rest of him, are growing like weeds.

CatherineM...my husband calls the picture of your basset laying down "puddle of basset." I think it's just about his favorite position they get in.
