We've had Gandy a week now, and he is officially paper trained. He's hit the pad every time for the last two days. He's six months old, and had no training, so he picked it up pretty quick. We prefer using the pads because when it is -40 degrees outside, moms and dogs alike want to stay inside.

WOO HOO, Gandy! I would be proud too! thats awesome!

We had our little moment today. She sat in front of the door. I took her out and she went pee! Ok, so she pretty much goes pee every time I take her out. And it was probably a coincidence. But I choose to ignore that and be happy about it.

He got left alone for the first time tonight for four hours. We were a little afraid of what we would find when we got home. We came in and he was sound asleep on the couch. He didn't bark or tear anything up. He did soak his potty pad. He's been such a good dog so far, that I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to fall. You know how when they catch a serial killer all his neighbors say that he was such a quiet guy. I am hoping that he doesn't turn out to have some kind of secret double life where he is a hired killer hound who does his business while we are at dinner.

Yay for both Gandy and Gracie! That's got to be the best feeling I've ever had was when both Doppler and Virga both started to get the potty training. The first time they ask to be let out to do their business I'm doing the happy dance! And Doppler has an alter ego because he never chewed on anything but his toys until we left him out one day while we were gone and he chewed up two remotes.
