Default need help with sporn harness

I got Carlos a sporn harness few days ago, the brand is yuppie puppy. It's the only brand I can get in my area and online. It would have worked perfectly if only Carlos wants to walk!
Apparently he can feel the discomfort if he pulls the leash, so he decides he does not want to have his daily walks. I have been trying to lure him to get out side of the house (with food and toys) but noooo he just lies down in front of the door and give me the "seriously?" stare.
It has been going on for 3 days now. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
And to think I spent 2 months trying to find the harness....

I got Murray one years ago and he did the same thing. He hated it. I started using a martingal collar (like a choke collar but the amount of play is limited so it doesn't pull too tight). That worked better for him.

you need to supervise strickly but do the typical leash training thingy for puppies. Have him wear the harness and leash in the house dragging the leash around when he gets use to that then you can start with the outdoor walks. He will learn that it is not the leash and harness causing pain but his pulling. Also since he is associating the harness with pain and not his pull You can hook the leash to the collar only so nothing pull sup by the legs. to start. Once he forgets about the leg pain from the harness you can switch back.

While I general recommen removing them but if he is sensitive if there are any pads for the sting make sure to use them as well.

If the sporn does not work I will definitely look for this collar in the pet supplies shop

I tried that trick, it worked for about 2 minutes and then he took two steps back and jumped trying to catch the food. After awhile he threw a fit and went flat in the middle of the pavement...

So we're still using normal harness but now we are in "who's the most stubborn" competition, if he pulls I will stop. No matter how many times he does that. I think he's getting it

Hee hee Bowsah & Carlos-- i am picturing walking down the street w/Carlos w/food attached to the end of a stick...!

Worm pulls a lot too, or else he goes flat basset. yikes, he pulled 2/3 of the way during the 5K walk we did yesterday. he and i were very tired yesterday as a result.

Here are some thoughts:
For pulling, our trainer wants us to do "penalty for pulling"-- i think there was a video posted recently here that shows how to do it. does anyone have that link??? that's an idea for helping w/the pulling, where you do a bit more than just stopping...

w/flat basset, i found that Worm does that when he doesn't want to go the direction i want to go. i walk towards him & then he gets up (w/a lot of motivation!) to walk where he wants to. i let him go a few steps, then redirect him to the direction i want to go...! seems to work now, and we are not "stuck" in flat basset mode for too long anymore.

We use the Yuppy Puppy harness, too. I have learned that when he starts to pull, I stop, gently pull him back a little, wait and then continue walking. I do this a few times and he will stop pulling and we have a nicer walk. Of course, every dog is different!

We went for a walk today, first one in a while, so it was a shorter one so we can work back up to longer ones. He decided that since he's a big boy now, he will lift his leg instead of squatting. It was funny to see him stop and lift that hind leg about 3 inches off the ground.
