Chloe's parent are both purebred bassets (AKC and CKC registered) but they both look very different. Is there some way to predict which of the two she will take after? I am particularly interested in the head conformation. Thanks!

Cloe's breed is the best position to answer that question. See know the genetics of the parents. and how certain trait transfer in her lines. Keep in mind you are talking traits that involve multiple genes and how these actual interact is unpredictable. It is the reason breeder line breed tring to make the line homogenious in these multiple traits so they breed true.
