introducing a new basset puppy

I have a 1 yr old male named limo.He is a outside dog. Fenced in back yard about 50' X 75'. I just bought a female puppy ( i will be getting her May 29th) 7 weeks old. What is the best way to bring her in. Can I put her with him outside over night from day one are should i seperate them when no one is around at 1st? thanks in advance

it highly depends on the temperament of your current dog and how it does with puppies most dogs are highly tollerent of puppies which is generally refered to as Puppy License However not all dog are so tollerant unless you are sure how you dog will react to a puppy it is best to exercise exteme caution.
