I made the dogs Turkey Jerky!

I had the day off from work yesterday so I decided to make Rusty & Stickers a treat. Rusty has many food allergies so I make Turkey Jerky. It took about 3 1/2 hours in my dehydrator. They love it!

can you recommend a brand for a dehydrator? others have mentioned it in other threads here. my folks should get one so I can have yummy treats too...?

My boss who works tons of works (she's a Veternarian) loves to shop & cook. So she does all her shopping online. She bought herself a nice Nesco dehydrator and got me one too! She ordered them from the food network website. I really have fun with it. It has about 7 drying trays and different temperature settings for drying. The turkey jerky took about 3 1/2 hours.

I do love my job

But we deal with the sadness of euthanasia, then the next minute a litter of puppies comes in. It does take some getting use to but I won't give up my job for the world!
