Today his ALT reading was 300,still high, but down from 800 ten days ago. I actually hugged the vet! He's been wanting longer walks , and is back to 62 pounds which is his normal weight.
We're keeping him on Denamarin and a liver support diet for now, and will test him again in 2 weeks. The vet thinks he might have had a virus- all I know is that he scared the **** out of me this time. Thank you everyone for your comments and kind word over the past month, it really did help.
