Hi all,
I recently got a beautiful basset named Bruno. This is my second basset ( if you don't count the puppies form the first basset) and i already lost the count on how many dogs i have had in my lifetime. But something i have never seen before (not even on my previous basset) is that he hiccups everytime he finishes eating or when i'm training him and giving him treats. Of course it goes away after he drinks lots of water, but i'm concerned that this might be hurting his tummy. Is this something normal on bassets? or is it that my 4 month little monster eats too fast?

When we got Doppler he was around 4 months and he did same thing. After he'd eat he'd be hiccupping for a few minutes. Then it would stop. He eventually outgrew them. Now we have Virga who is about 4 months as well and she sometimes hiccups after she eats as well. I think it's just a puppy thing and Bruno will outgrow it. But both of mine are fine after their hiccups.
