Default Guess what Virga did last night...

I went to bed early last night and so my husband put the dogs in their kennels. He put Doppler up. No problem as always. He then put Virga up. She went into her kennel willingly. So he latches her kennel door and comes to bed. This morning I go to let the dogs out and guess who meets me at the door?! Virga with her little butt just awigglin'! She was excited to see me. But I was trying to figure out how she got out. So I open the door the rest of the way and destruction meets my eyes. She had torn up some of my husband's papers for work (he had copies luckily), some of her pee pads, she had peed three times and pooped twice. I yelled for my husband and he was as lost as I was to how she got out. But we figured she just worked the latch and slid it open. She's in what we call our puppy crate and the latch is simple to open. So my husband and I started to clean up her mess while she and Doppler were romping around in the backyard. I sure hope she had fun last night!

Clever Virga!! She was obviously desperate to have a wee and poo and rather than soil her bed, she knew she needed to do it on her pee pads! I suppose we all need to go at extra times some nights and dogs are probably just the same but can't do it in the right places unless we let them out!

Oh! And she has figured out how to get on the couch! We turned around and there she was! We put her down and she just hopped up again! It was a big day for Virga.

This happened to my fiance and I, come home to find a sweet face and a wagging tail. Nothing seemed out of place, fortunately, but we figured out how he had gotten out. The crate has two latches, one high and one low, the top one was closed, but not looped through the hole, while the bottom one my clever little Cotton had figured out he could reach his hand through and move it to the side. I triple check them every time now.

LOL! What silly and smart dogs we all have! I know it was no fun, but it's hilarious to read about! Two poops! Well, here's a Fergus one to enjoy:

As a background: Fergus had some surgery a couple weeks ago (and is doing great, thanks!), so he has a cast and a head cone to deal with daily.

It was early on Monday morning and I was in a hurry to get ready for work. I put on his bootie over his cast and took him out. His cone is burdensome in the yard (my poor shortie), so we always take it off. When we got in, I put him back in his area and hurried to get ready for work. Did I give a single moment's thought to the cone not being on him? No. But he did. Rather than his typical attack on his cast, he went to work on his cone. By the time I got back (all of 10 mins later) he had eaten the entire fabric tie thingy that keeps it on him, as well as broken every single loop hole and was working on eating the entire cone!

Sigh. What will he not eat? I haven't found anything that he won't try to devour. What mischief will these dogs not make? I love them all though!
