A new Nova documentary aired last week about dogs. It's available on Netflix for instant streaming and also should be available here soon:
NOVA | Dogs Decoded Scientists examined things such as a dog's ability to read human emotions on their faces, ability to identify objects in a photograph, and proving that dog behavior is innate in dogs, not a result of nurture and socialization (i.e. you can't raise a wolf as a dog and get the same result). It's really interesting and was just aired. I definitely recommend it.
