Lightbulb Need advice

Millie my 15weeks baby Basset has an eye problem. The bottom lid is swollen quite heavily. It is not Cherry eye. I took her to the vet on Friday and he prescribed some anti-inflammatory pills as well as an ointment. Her eye did not get better over the weekend and I took her to the vet again yesterday. He admitted her to hospital to put her under sedation to make sure there isn't something stuck behind her teeth that might have caused an infection. He even stuck a needle in the swollen part to check for "weird looking fluids" but he did not find anything. I accidentally stuck my finger in her eye on Thursday but the vet does not seem to think that is the cause of the swollen eye. I would much appreciate it if you could assist me with words of encouragement whether or not this is something to stress about. I cannot explain my concern for little Millie. She is still so young and she has the most beautiful eye's. I found this forum out of desperation. I believe that if there is someone that can help me I will find it here...

Lollypop sends drool and slobber. We hope Millie will be OK. I suspect as a pup, she will be strong enough to conquer whatever the problem may be. Keep us posted!

You should consider having your vet refer you to one specializing in ophthamology

VETERINARY OPHTHALMOLOGY WEBSITES --ALPHABETICAL BY STATE(Diplomates who have agreed to be listed)

I would also go to a Veterinary Opthamologist. Rusty had a slightly swollen eye in the corner near his nose for a few weeks. 2 Vets didn't seem to think it looked swollen until it finally started filling up with water. We were referred to a specialist and he had a cyst blocking his nasal passage so it was removed. Fine since then. Good Luck with sweet Millie

I'm not sure if Mikey's link will help, as Bassie is in S. Africa... but good luck!
