My 15 week old basset puppy maxwell has been trying to get up on the couch on his own for weeks! only to fail of course because the couch is rather high. we just got in from a walk and he must have been wound up from meeting the other basset in our neighborhood. He ran in circles full blast around the living room for about 15 minutes bark at and eating his purple elephant. in one of his highspeed circles he lept right up on the couch!
He stopped for a second and looked around at the couch realising i didnt help him up! he then did to more circles and now he's collapsed on the couch watching tv with me. Must have worn him out flying through the air

Awww bless him! Be careful of Maxwell when it comes to trying to jump off the sofa if it is quite high up because he might hurt himself... and breeders and vets have always told us never to let our Bassets jump off anything that is higher than themselves because it could injure their back or little legs!
