It's a tough life, being a Bassett

Spencer decided to sleep in this morning (like any other morning when I don't have to get up for work)

I was up, showered, dressed & had breakfast & he was still snoozing. I had to wake him for a 9:40 am vet appt & when I went into the bedroom, this is what I found:

I had to laugh. My first thought was, "Yeah, let's turn out the lights, pull the blinds & sleep till spring!" But, the vet waited, so I had to wake him. I got a dirty look:

Then, a yawn,

a stretch,

and a flop back down:

"Just 5 more minutes? Please?"

My houndies usually wake me up, but the last 2 nights they've too slept in and I've been up before them. =) Great pics of Spencer the snoozer!
