Within just a few days, these timid, shy puppies who had never seen daylight are finally acting like puppies! After sitting with them 3 days in a row, it took Hazel yanking my glove out of my back pocket to finally want to play. We still haven't heard more than a quiet whine out of these two. Here are some pictures of Ruby and Hazel, the 5-6 month olds.

I could say something about the kind of person who would mistreat these cute puppies, and suggest that they look so sad because of their previous owner's abuse. But then, Rosco looks at me exactly the same way when I tell him it's time to go to his crate.

They are beautiful hounds.
It hurts me to know that those beautiful hounds have had such a rough life so far. I just don't understand how or why someone would want to cause pain to any animal like that. Animals have feelings to. It is great to see people give these animals a second chance and hopefully the hounds can put what happen to them in the past. |
