I have been asked to bring a citronella anti-bark collar to a friend in Africa, whom I'm going to visit in a few weeks. When I ordered the collar and a citronella refill, it said the refill couldn't be shipped via air. So I'm wondering, will I be able to take this on the flights to Africa? Will it blow up if I put it in my luggage? Should I keep the refill in my carry-on?
I know this is a bit off-topic, but I'm worried! Thanks.

Thanks Mike. Hmmm. This poses a problem, as it's hard to get to Africa without a plane. Aerosol cans used to be allowed on flights, so I'm guessing this is a security measure and the can won't blow up. And even if it does, it will just smell very citronella-y in the cargo hold. I'll let you know how everything works out.
