Our Samantha (15 months old) has a very hairy belly as well. We can just bearly see her pink puppy belly. Her half brother Stonewall, has a spotty pink belly with very little hair on it (thank goodness for sweaters for him).

Shami had a very hairy belly. She was all red and seemed to shed the most out of all my Bassets. None of my other Bassets ever had such thick belly hair as she did.
