I think that's an attentative Basset listening closely to her master with love and adoration in her eyes, and thinking "You can't scare me, I know you are just bluffing!!"

I'm positve this photo is a set up.

It is shot just a second before emma fishes a piece of gum out of stiener's mouth with her enormous tongue :P

Yes, as you maybe have found out, I just tried to make
a funny picture, the only torture she was put up too,
was my breath - and that's probably why she looks mildly interested...

I gave up shouting at her when she was a puppy,
she thought it was some kind of a contest, so she barked
back at me - and she normally would win.....
And it's not easy to get a response anyway, she's got a selective
hearing, deaf at one moment, then hearing a chocolate paper a 1/4 mile away
the next moment....
