My nephew and his girlfriend recently rescued two ferrets from the county animal pound holocaust. After some initial trepidation, I thought it would be OK for Flash and the ferrets to get acquainted. The meeting went well, and now the 3 of them play nicely together. Why did I ever doubt that a basset person with such a loving, sunny disposition could make friends with them?

That's cool. We somewhat recently bought a hamster. The dogs love to sit in there at his cage and stare at him. When we put him in his ball they are very intersted, but Lily tries to bat him around so we have to get on her about that.

That's great! ONe of the guys I work with has a ferret - I showed him the pics and told him that he, too, can get a basset!
