Thumbs up

Hi All,

I was thinking about making a Basset hound calendar or 3. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in their Bassets being a STAR and appearing in it. I am looking for funny, poised and pretty and Bassets in strange places (like Darcy (BHCV) in the dryer, door open of course) with captions, slaves names, states and of course Bassets names.

Another question, would anyone buy it? They would be available world wide for aprox $30 US + postage. Will ship to every country.

If anyone has some fantastic pic's and your Basset wants to be a world wide star, please email them to kat_949@hotmail.com with you and your Bassets name, state/country and a caption. Also please add your Bassets birthday if you want it to appear on the date (printed in the calendar for all to see).

For example; "Kat McDougall. Dee. Melbourne/ Australia. Oh mummy please can I have some more."

I will send out info once I know what it is. They will be available online.

Thanks everyone. Kat & Dee.

I'd be interested! I missed out on putting Scully in the 2009 Drool calendar because we were moving around the time the dates were picked and our internet wasn't set up yet.

It sounds like a good idea but I think it is alittle pricey?

Would it be associated with a basset rescue?

Cool

One of the other dog people at our park took pictures of all the usual dogs during their morning walk and recorded their birthdays or adoption dates. She then made up a GORGEOUS calendar with large pictures of the dogs on the top of the month of their births or adoption dates then on the actual calendar she placed small pictures of the dogs on the actual date. So there was an action shot of Francis on top of the February page and his picture on the 25th. Pure genius.
She sold the calendar "The Dogs of Millennium Park" for 20.00 each and they sold like hotcakes. I have a keepsake for life and something extremely practical for this year!!!

Yes it will be associated with the Basset Hound Club of Victoria (Guess I should have said this in the first post. ). I have recently joined the committee and have been trying to think of all the new ways of fund raising and bringing the life of the internet to the board. We normally do print a calendar for the club members but we have a very small club of around 80 to 100 members. Most of which are interstate or overseas and or previous basset owners and enjoy reading the quarterly newsletter and don't get involved in club gatherings. When we have things as walks and the Christmas party you will be lucky if 5 people turn up to walks and around 10 - 15 for the Christmas party. So as far as fund raising goes it is very non existent. Their are currently 3 hounds in the rescue program at the moment so every dollar will help. So if we drop down to $20-$25 would that be better? If anyone has any fund raising suggestions I would love to hear it, chocolate drive are out as no one can do it most people on the committee are retired.

Would really love to hear your thoughts and thanks to those that have replied..

The following like is to our club website (I don't think it has been updated for a we while)

Thanks Kat

Well Guys we have half a calendar. I will keep making them if the pics keep coming. 12 or 13 pics per calendar. Ok i am in. Lets do this, in the calendars description i will list the Bassets name so its easy to find.

Start sending your pictures to me with your preference of month or cover ( remember if you choose the cover, when you hang your calendar up it will be against the wall and you won't be able to see it unless you have a see through wall ). There is no time limit to buy them, they will be available till the end of 2009.

What you need to supply to my email address kat_949@hotmail.com

Bassets Name.
Your Name.
Bassets Birthday.
Month you would like you pic to be displayed on.
Your State and Country.
Caption for the picture.

Yay how exciting.

ruby_doo (AUS), you can join our club. Their are a few from SA in our club.

Kat
