Duke needs a local friend (VA)

I know it's been years since I've been on the forum. Sorry!!!
I've moved to the Shenandoah VA area. There are no dog parks out here and my basset spends most of his days stairing out the window looking for someone to play with him (of course when we aren't playing with him). He loves people and other dogs so much. We feel so bad that he doesn't have friends to play with. We can't get another dog at this time or foster one. Does anyone live near by where Duke could have a play date? I'm willing to babysit. I feel so bad when I see those sad eyes. I feel like he is asking me "mommy, why won't anyone play with me".
