For those who might be interested this website has a "Amber Alert" for missing dogs. If you are a member you can print flyers for your missing dog and there is a ticker that runs on every members page so that if a dog is lost in your area people will know.

A friend of mine had her adult, NEUTERED, great dane stolen out of her yard while she was home a couple of months ago, and I wondered why there wasn't some kind of Amber Alert system for dogs. This is a great idea--I hope all rescues, shelters and vet's offices use this. Dognappers should be shot.
