Yogi is having a yeast problem in his ears so I have to clean his ears every single day for two weeks!
He isn't too happy about it but he is such a good boy while I am doing it! He knows when I am going to do it and he comes over to me (I never call him to me when I am going to do something he doesn't like) and just lays down, like he is saying I surrender mommy! He will even get up and turn around for me to do the other ear. But as soon as he sees the ear cleaning bottle he starts drooling like crazy! Ugh! So once I am in the ear cleaning he will shake his head and drool goes everywhere! I hate doing it since I often get hit in the face with it! Do your dogs do this too? He rarely drools but ear cleaning always gets him drooling!

Oh I think we are the ones who suffer at ear cleaning time--the way my Molly looks at me is saying "Why are you molesting me"?
Molly is not a drooler and has no idea she is not human. don

We have a Basset (Chief) and a Beagle (River). Both are just over a year old. The Beagle is a "clean freak". There isn't a day that goes by that River doesn't clean Chief's ears. I guess we're fortunate in this area. However, River tends to be a bit compulsive in his ear cleaning services.

Hi,
I assume it must be ok for dogs to clean each others ears (revolting as the thought may be to us) my dogs clean each others ears all the time and they are fine.

Louie doesn't like it much but he's a good boy because he know's he'll get a treat afterwards. He's only 8 months...so i'm not sure if he will start drooling at some point, but so far so good...no stress drool!

Nope, Abe just puts his head down on his chair and sighs while I do it like "hurry up Ma!" No drooling though. But he's not much of a drooler, compared to other BHs. Do you get the prescription kind or do you buy it over the counter? Abe only had one when he was a pup, and ever since we've tried this kind, I've had no problems. In case you were interested in trying a new kind, it's called Dermapet and it's presciption. It's like $17, but it's worth it.
