Well, Mother Nature let us know that we are not yet finished with winter. It started snowing yesterday (Friday) morning about 9 am & just now stopped (4pm Saturday). We got about a foot of snow. We had high winds overnight & there are drifts of 2+ feet in some places. Spencer, who normally loves playing in the snow is one unhappy boy right now. This is just too much snow for him to get through. He still hasn't pooped yet today. I even shoveled him a path & a section in the grass, but he does not seem to want to put his hiney in the snow!

Plowing through.

Who the heck ordered all this snow? (Maybe if I bark at it, it will go away!)

Ready to go in.

I snapped this picture just at the right moment - my brother was knocking some huge drifts off the roof of my house.

Woke to snow here yesterday morning in North Alabama. Went outside to get the paper and let the dogs outside. Called them in about 45 minutes later and snow was coming down good. Probably got I would say an half of inch of snow.

By midday, the sun was out and snow all gone. Dogs all stretched out sunny in the backyard.

I couldn't imagine how the dogs would do in all that snow...........I am guessing the first time they would enjoy and have fun.............then they would be like, "Um where's the grass?"

Loved the pictures!! BUT, I'm glad that's you and not us. We have done that roof raking here in SD many times. This year one of the coldest on record, but not much snow, by SD standards.

lol...looks almost like our house..Louie loves the snow..
we're in Ontario, Canada..and man did we ever get our butts kicked. The snow piles around our driveway are six feet tall (and i'm not exaggerating)
He plows through even the 2 feet of snow..it's hilarious to watch.
Louie doesn't lift his leg to pee either so he "drills" pee holes in the snow...lol

We got 20 inches here in Columbus, Ohio friday and saturday. My younger one dixie loves it and runs all through it and chases the shovel as you try to clear. Dutchess on the other hand only goes out to do her business then it is back in. With the drifts of 3 feet in places they just disappear out there. Luckly it is going into the 50's this week to melt some of it.

I have family in Elyria OH and they can't believe all the snow! I live in La Crosse WI so I'm used to it. Our Basset, Abraham is very comical when we go for walks. He jumps up on those huge snowbanks and usually trips on his ears on the way down. He has a doggy door with a fenced in yard. We went out there yesterday and saw all these little Abraham trails! He has a girlfriend beagle heeler mix that comes over to play. She runs all over and plows through all the snow. Poor Abe has to try to catch her by going by the rules and taking the trails!! Short Stuff isn't even tall enough to jump through it and gets stuck...all you see are ears flying up in the air.
