We went out yesterday to see my cousin's new baby colt, but the hounds were more interested in all the barn smells and "horse apples" on the ground.

Oh! that is going to grow into a powerful one with those lean lines, perky ears and intelligent look in it's eye.
I am sure the Basset's noses had a field day around the barn! don

What a cute baby appy!!! Love the blanket and such a gorgeous blaze. I love horses -- had one of my own many years ago. At this stage in my life, I'd love to have one so I could just look out and watch it grazing in the field -- so pastoral and peaceful.....

How sweet, I love Horses...as does Harvey, if we are walking and we go past a field with horses his tail won't stop wagging, espcially if he gets to touch noses with one.
