Hello all! I'm new to this board. I'm the mom to a 6 month old bassett named Samuel Adams! His dad and I are in our mid-forties and we are engaged to be married in June. We both have grown kids and we wanted something to call "ours"! Being too old to have children we decided to get a basset hound. Sam was 6 weeks old when we got him - he was the runt of the litter. Now he weighs around 35 lbs. and is the king of our castle!!
Sam has brought so much joy to our lives - I don't know how we ever lived without him!! Here's a few more pics of Sam!

love the pictures! I love how all bassets can pull of that cute "little front leg tucked into the pillow" look!

Welcome to the forum from South Dakota. Sam is adorable!! We have Bogie, a tri colored almost three year old, and quiet the character. His claim to fame is two surgeries for swallowed rocks, and another surgery for a torn ACL all in one year, but we sure love him anyway.
