I have had my Basset for about a month now, she is 7 months old and I notice that her poop is very soft and squishy compared to my other dog (they both eat the same food). Is this normal for a basset?

Maybe bring in a stool sample for a check. It may be that this is just the way she is, but my three have well-formed poops. And lots of it. In fact, my oldest son refers to the dogs as "Sh*t Machines"

It took a few changes in food to get Louie's poop to become "normal" and not like soft ice cream (eww..sorry to those of you who like soft ice cream..) Turns out he just has a sensitive stomach and is now on a "Gastro" food from Medical. I'd asl your vet for suggestions.
