Have you read "The Ultimate Beagle: The Natural Born Rabbit Dog" by Robert L. Mason? I don't know how I wound up with a book about beagles (and hunting for that matter), but I was completely surprised by how beautifully written it was. It reads more like literature than a how-two manual. The book was published in 1997 by OTR Publications in Centreville, Alabama. If you have read it, I'd love to hear your opinion on it. I know of the book, but haven't read it yet.

I do not think many were published as some of the usedbook sites list them for $60 - $140.

Those books I normally try to score on EBAY.

it's got a really sweet inscription from the author to my dad. I'll see if I can find one around here (the author lives south of here a little bit). I'll let you know if I can find it. It's so nice, it should be reprinted.
