Rusty Goes To Surgery Today!

We are leaving at 7:00 am to take him to big fancy doggie hospital. His Opthamologist is removing the cyst blocking his nasal passage. I posted some time ago that we had a consult with this Doctor. We kept an eye on it, so to speak and it is gradually getting larger. We also want to send it out for a biopsy just to be on the safe side.

He will come home around dinner tonight with an E collar which I know he will hate. Unforunately, the towel collar or neckbrace style collar is not recommended for surgery above the head.

I am asking for prayers and drool for my boy. He is my special guy who I just adore!! I'll post an update later.

It's in the corner where his eye looks slightly swollen:

I hope he doesn't have to stay over night ...does he ...?

It's horrible when they have to stay at the vets for a procedure- my thoughts will be with you today.

Oh, dear, poor you. Poor Rusty. I know he'll be fine, but I also know that until you get him home, you're going to be worried. So until then
