Fun Hunt in Dartmouth?

Do I remember correctly that it's sometime in November? Perhaps around Thanksgiving? Does anyone know the exact date, time and place? (South Dartmouth?) I plan on going but I'll need to be sure to have that day off from work. I told my husband about it and he thinks it'll be fun, too. My friend took her three Bassets one year and loved it. Is it for hounds only or can I bring my little wiener-dog, too?

The fun hunt is on the sunday after Thanksgiving at Paskamansett beagle club on Lucy Little Rd -- just out side Faunce Corner --- close to U of Mass campus -- starts around 8am

I'm wondering how far down Lucy Little and on which side? Also will there be a sign of some sort? Or some landmark to look for? Is it a named farm? Or will it have the Beagle Club sign?

I know where Lucy Little Road is and getting there is wicked easy from the Faunce Corner exit. I will be happy to give directions but once on Lucy Little I'm not sure where it is. We're heading out to Bj's in a minute and maybe I'll just go down that road to see if I can find it...

We looked for the Beagle Club when we went to Dartmouth this morning and found it. Here is how you get there:

From 195(east or west) take exit 12a - Faunce Corner Road/Umass Dartmouth exit. At end of the exit bear to the right onto Faunce Corner Road (heading south).

Follow Faunce Corner Rd through several traffic lights, past the North Dartmouth Mall on the right, and straight through the traffic light/ACROSS Route 6 onto Chase Road (Faunce Corner Road ends at Route 6 and Chase road begins at Route 6).

About a half mile or so up Chase Road, Turn RIGHT onto Old Westport Road (I think there is another sign for Umass Dartmouth here).

Continue up Old Westport Road, passing Umass Dartmouth on your left, on up the road until you see Lucy Little Road on your left, across from a working gravel pit. (Maybe about two miles from Chase Road?) Dartmouth Orchard is just past Lucy Little on the same side - if you are passing it you went too far.

Turn LEFT onto Lucy Little Road and continue carefully down the road (it's a narrow winding road) approx a mile give or take a little, until you see Strawberry Lane on your left. The Paskamansett Beagle Club is on the RIGHT side, just beyond Strawberry Lane.

It was very easy to find. We'll be there tomorrow, along with one of my friends and his three Bassets. Our friends told us that people from Colonial Basset Rescue are usually there too, sometimes with dogs available for adoption. I'm hoping I'll meet some forum members and thier Bassets, too. Maybe I'll see some of you tomorrow? :) :) :)
