The "Pool Patrol" alarm system and the "Pool Turtle" collars are what I'm looking at. After our incident with Dixie last night, I have been online looking for something that will alert me at night if this were to happen again. I think this was an isolated incident due to the weather conditions but still ...I don't want to close the doggie door at night, since Dixie is an 8+ year old dog. She goes out at least once a night.
SO ...The Pool patrol has a remote alarm that can be kept inside the house to alert me if anything even ripples the pool water. The sensitivity can be adjusted. have any of you ever heard of this ...or do any of you use one?

Or I can collar the dogs with a special "turtle" that will sound an alarm inside the house if they were to fall in.
