Hello,
I have been reading but this is my first post. I am so very happy that my Basset is normal! I though I bought the most stubborn dog you could get! haha Basset Hound really do have a mind of their own. My little girls name is Daisy, was supposed to be a dog for my son, but she quickly became my dog........by her choice. She is now 6 months old and already is a whopping 32 pounds. She loves to run....not a bit lazy as they look. She wants to bite all the time while she is playing, but now it's getting painful. So, we are working on that. If she gets mad at my son, like God forbid he tells her "no"....she will go and potty in his room. But they both get over it and have play time right before bed. Speaking of bed...... she has taken it over. If she is not comfortable, we are not comfortable!

But even with all the work still needed I wouldn't rade her for the world. She is sooooo cute and stilll trips over those big ears!

Anywho, I am so glad that I found this site.

I love to read everyones post

Missy.....a.k.a. mom to daisy the queen

Our Jeffrey is just over 6 months and is 32 pounds as well! He tears around the house like the devil is at his heels and chews and bites everything. But we LOVE HIM! He's very obedient when we have a treat, and promptly ignores us when we don't. They're a wonderful breed. I'm glad you posted, now you have to post some pictures of Daisy!
