We just got back from a 2,086 mile trip to Arkansas for a family reunion and to visit with our daughter for a few days.
Bogie has turned into a great traveler, did great in the RV, motel, and made friends with our daughter's rescued Greyhound, Outz. Outz, is ten, and was raced for four years before they rescued him as a five year old. He is such a sweet guy. I thought you might enjoy seeing the two new best buds.

Nice picture. What I love about bassets is, other breeds look like they're observing life and bassets are living it...to their own pleasure(:

They make a great looking pair of hounds!
I know a woman who rescues greyhounds and she says they make great companions. I'm so glad they can get homes after their racing "careers" are over. Hoewver, I wish the "sport" would go away.
