I guess you could say I provide Dixie and Stonewall with shelter.... but they just sit on it.



bird watching (they LOVE chasing birds out of the yard)



They love sitting on the storm shelter and playing "king/Queen" of the mountain

Ditto how cute they are. Pretty funny how Bassets like to seek high ground. Moe likes to stand on a large rock in the front yard. It's big (about four feet across) but only sticks out of the ground about a foot. He looks very regal, as if he's king of all he surveys, IF you can overlook that fact that he's not even high up enough to see over the huckleberries.

Storm shelter? Do you get tornados?

I haven't been up here long enough to see one. But I know there was one a few blocks over from us a few months ago... Now I've just got to train the pups not to be scared of going IN the shelter. They freak out when I try to get them inside of it...
