Ditto how cute they are. Pretty funny how Bassets like to seek high ground. Moe likes to stand on a large rock in the front yard. It's big (about four feet across) but only sticks out of the ground about a foot. He looks very regal, as if he's king of all he surveys, IF you can overlook that fact that he's not even high up enough to see over the huckleberries.
I haven't been up here long enough to see one. But I know there was one a few blocks over from us a few months ago... Now I've just got to train the pups not to be scared of going IN the shelter. They freak out when I try to get them inside of it...
Two Bassets look so good together. We want to get a second one as soon as this one is trained and of course we buy a bigger place. But this two are so cute...
A lot of us have 2 or more, and I've never heard anyone say the second one was a bad idea! As long as you can afford the additional vet, food, and toy bills, I highly recommend 2 bassets. Perhaps even more, but I only have 2.
If you think one basset is funny, the antics of two will leave you howling! (pun intended)

Try tossing in a couple of hotdogs and they'll go right in. Just make sure to step out of the way or you'll be knocked on your tush!
