Cool

I'll show you how flat one can get.
Dozer knows when I'm ready to leave the house and that I close off the living room before I go. He will drop to the floor in the living room and refuses to get up. Digger even tries to help.

Very flat basset video:

we get that too! we usually have to get the lead and walk her out of the living room on that.

they just dont want to see us leave do they....or is it that they just dont like us closing off the best room in the house whilst we are gone!

Sadie will do that at night when I'm ready to go o bed. I get ready to let them out for one last potty break and Sadie will be laying on the living room floor and won't get up, I try nudging her like you did with Dozer and she won't budge. I know she does it on purpose, she eventually gets up and goes out but she has to go when she is ready and only when she is ready. I have tried just leaving her there and just going to bed but then she will decided to get up and want out just as I'm falling asleep and I have to get back up and let her out. Everything has to be on their terms, after all we are their slaves

Oh goodness ...how cute

...we get that when they see us with the bath towels, heading outside. Dixie will flatten out, looking pitiful and wagging her tail. Even if we're already outside, she'll go flat next to the bath table.

That put a smile to my face.

I never understand how they can be sooooooo stupid at times. They certainly aren't dumb!

Great video, captures that Bassitude perfectly. Quite familiar with that around here since Lily is a diva and Gibbs is a baby.

[Dobby does that too, only usually in the middle of his walk, he drops to the ground in a superman pose and refuses to get up no matter...my hubby has even been known to carry him home instead of dragging and cajoling because he is so embarrassed to be seen with this dog who is being so abused by being forced to walk..lol

That was too funny My Maggie Mae use to go flat on us all the time!! Rusty & Stickers haven't so far. These 2 are really well behaved and actually listen to me!!! As I've said before they were very well trained when we got them. I am very lucky to have them!!
