Hi there. I am new to this message board. I have been looking all over the internet for a reason why basset hounds bay. I can't seem to find anything. Could anyone tell me? I have 2 basset hounds, Maxwell and Betsy. Betsy has just started baying alot. Thanks to anyone who can help me.

I second that Vision, as the only time I've heard it is when I left.
If it's barking you're talking might be for some of these reasons: Hey, hey look I'm a dog!! Hey! Get of my lawn! Uhh grass! Something's moving!!! I feell happy!! I feel sad!! Look the sky!! Uhh I have paws!! I'm great!! Where are my humans!! I'm hungry!! I AM!!!! At least it seems like this for some dogs. |

Bailey and Millie dont howl, I've been trying to show them(i bet i look like a fool doing it) but i think it would be cool to teach them to basset sing!
My two tibetans do it but not when my girlfriends bassets are about... |
