I'm feeling so bad for my Maggie. I take her to dogsitting during the day in a home where all the dogs run together. Usually it is great, she plays and is exhausted when she gets home - much better than her being 10 hours by herself at home - even if I got a walker to take her out for a while. She gets so excited going to doggy daycare that she runs up to their door and scratches to get in (and doesn't want to go home at the end of the day )

Yesterday I go to pick her up and there was an incident. They were each given a special treat. I guess Maggie finished hers and went after another dog's treat. The other dog snapped at her and she got a little cut on her muzzle.

I feel so bad. She doesn't even seem to notice it at all, and in fact still did not want to leave daycare at the end of the day (and still ran to the door this morning). There are two things bothering me about this. First of all, the dog that snapped at her was the owner of the daycare's dog - so that dog will always be there and I'm little worried now. She told me she won't give them treats around each other again - but still.

Secondly, and what I think bothers me more (which is pretty shallow of me), I think the cut will leave a scar on her face where the hair won't grow similar to the tick bite she had on her head. I feel so bad that her pretty little face will have a scar on it. It makes me sick to the stomach to think about. I guess I'm just being vain.

Honestly professional dog sitters should know better than to introduce food.

Hopefully Maggie has learned now. I will not take food from that dog again.
She tried the other dog told her no. And as long as food are kept out of it I
think it will be okay.

I think Kaira is right - as long as food is kept out of the picture it should be fine. I would try a little Neosporn (I hope I spelled that right) or other antibiotic cream on the cut. It will help it heal. If it is a small cut it probably won't leave a scar.

I'm a little concerned that the 'professional' here gave treats to a room full of dogs like that. Not that I don't treat my three, but I do it carefully under close supervision. What one gets, they all get, and when one finishes, I block him/her from the others.

As suggested, I'd use an antibiotic cream on Maggie's little cut. And I might start looking for another daycare situation......

Actually, things seem to be fine now. She is a wonderful lady who runs the daycare, Maggie loves it, and it is the only one in town. And she puts up with the fact that Maggie doesn't seem to be housetrained when she's not in my house. <_<
