Max is home and doing well. He is pretty tired and so pathetic looking; his eyes are so much more droopy & sad looking then normal. I'm off now until Wednesday so I will be here to give him all the tender loving care he needs.

Awww.....that is one pathetic looking houndie!

If you haven't given him a treat and a gentle belly rub let me know and I'll come do it. Anything to get that look off his face!

Hope he recovers very quickly and that they don't find a third one that needs removing.

Poor Max! He probably thinks this is a regular thing he has to go through all the time.
Gove him a kiss for me, right on that sweet nose.

Oh, he's really feeling sorry for himself!
And probably with a good reason! :P

But Max, I'm pretty sure they won't find more balls now!

Awwww, my heart aches for Max! Although I see he has (deservedly) taken possession of your nice bedspread, so I guess things aren't all that bad!

:P

Give him hugs for us!

By the way, what did the vet say about how this happened???? Just curious.

Max is doing better today, he's still moving a little slow still but looks much better and wants to eat again. The vet never really gave a good explanation for what happened. He said it was totally his fault and it shouldn't have happened. He tried to give some explanation of how he might have missed it but I really didn't understand it, basically he screwed up and he pretty much admitted that. There used to be three veterinarians in that office, one that was really good, we really liked him but he sold his share of the business and moved out of state. The other two doctors were always good but we just really liked the one that moved away. Not long after the first one left then a second one left and the vet that is there now was left by his self with enough business for 3 vets. I really think he has too much on his plate right now and got sloppy trying to keep it all going. I have heard he is looking for another vet but it's really hard to get any new vets to come to our town. It's a small tourist town with not a lot going on, it's a very nice small town but just not much going on. Little in the way of shopping or recreation, tourist come in the summer because we have the Soo Locks and snowmobilers in the winter. There are two other vets in town, one we haven't heard very good things about but the other is a husband and wife team and I've heard really good things about them. I wanted to make sure our current vet corrected his mistake at no cost to us but then we will be checking out the husband & wife team.
