I thought Ruby wasn't breathing! I had to put my hand on her to make sure. She just looked up at me and rolled over. Now breathing quite deeply and loudly. :P

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has had that fear! They can sleep so incredibly deeply that at times they do look like they're not breathing!

They probably do it to make us crazy!

Give Ruby a mask with a propeller,
then she can power a small sawmill,
perfect for cutting pencils and flower
sticks. Then she would be useful and
you can easily see she's snoring....

I am glad I am not the only one who has paranoid thoughts about their hounds. Not knowing they are breathing is not a problem for us though. I recently got a porch railing and gate for my front porch. Yesterday the hounds were snoring was so loud that a little gil riding her bike on the sidewalk stopped and said, "Are those your dogs? They sure are tired!"
