Default Choking

Louie seems to choke quite a bit and ends up throwing up. He is not choking on anything I think it is just saliva. Has anybody heard of this kind of problem with Bassetts? Louie Homepage

I think a trip to the vet is warranted. His symptoms could be caused by a lot of things including foreign body in the throat, kennel cough or megaesophagus.

It's not always easy to know when to call the vet but I always say "when in doubt, check it out." Here's a couple of references:
