Default Good News!

I just wanted to let everyone know that Chloe had surgery today and the vet removed all 4 tumors. It turns out they were not fatty tumors, but hair follicle cysts. He said here skin is very oily and this is probably what caused them. I am so relieved! Now if I can figure out how to help prevent them. He did suggest bathing her more often. I really didn't get to speak to the vet, but plan to when I take her to get the stitches out. If anyone has any experiences with these type of cysts and any preventative measure please share. Thanks for the replies. You can never be too careful.

So glad to here it's nothing serious with your baby!Dont know much about oily skin, but maybe you can ask about swithing her food to something that promotes healthy skin and coat.

Are these like infected hair follicles that get lumpy beneath the skin? Wow. I never knew pups get those!

Glad you found out.

Yes, that's what Emma's lump on her ear was that I had removed. Our vet said it was "a hair follicle gone bad"
