Default Bassett hound seizures

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone's
Dog has experienced the below ?

Last night Winston jumped off the bed run around in circles, ran in to the door , ran in to the cupboard , me and my husband jumped up , he then fell down the last couple of stairs , tried to walk around but his legs weren't strong enough? He calmed down a little bit and sat By husband but was shaking and acting unusual, so we just sat with him then he started shaking , eyes wide open , stiff, legs "paddling " and had a fit

Thank you x

Have not experienced seizures in our hounds, impossible to diagnose over the internet, there are many types. Would advise Winston is taken to his vet for a health check, if it happens again if possible video (for your vet) & gate access to stairs to prevent further injury.

My dog that had siezures they general occurred on thursdays either early morning or evening when sleeping or just getting up.

The first seizure she ever had included running round bumping into glass doors and foaming at the mouth all while completely disoriented a picture perfect hollywood portrayal of a rabid dog before going into a full blown grand mal (tonic/clonic) seizure. Rarely did that occur after the first one maybe one or twice at the most.
